Our client is hiring a VP Sales to report to the President managing a team nationally.

In this key leadership role, you will develop, lead and execute a strategic business plan to increase revenue and profitability. You will generate and drive business development initiatives building new relationships using a consultative strategic selling approach. Managing a national team, you will provide leadership, establishing metrics which are both targeted and measurable encouraging exceptional performance and a team based environment. In addition to new business development, you will manage key client relationships, further developing business and negotiating new contracts and improved margins. Bring a mindset of “change” – focusing on the company and its growth potential through increased sales, driving bottom-line results, motivating exceptional performance from the team and being an active member of the senior management team. In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Undergrad degree in business or MBA ideal, with 10+ years relevant progressive experience
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales and sales leadership with P&L responsibilities
  • Proven business and sales strategy experience, "hunter" mentality, leading from the front
  • Solid people management, team development and coaching skills, implementing metrics and creating an accountable and productive environment
  • Ability to communicate and drive change, adding value as a member of the executive team
  • Must come from a fast paced, dynamic industry; any exposure to logistics/supply chain management preferred
  • Exceptional polish and presence to deal with clients at an Executive level
