Manager, Valuations

It is important to note that this position is located in Montreal. We will be considering candidate who live in the Montreal area or Canadian candidates open to relocating to Montreal (provided that they’re bilingual).

The Investment Valuation team reviews and approves the valuations of all the private asset classes - including real estate and infrastructure investments. The Manager, Investment Valuation reviews the valuations for the private asset classes. The Manager is also responsible for preparing the documentation needed to be submitted to the valuation committees. This role will work in collaboration with all of the private investment groups as well as many other teams within the fund. Other main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
   
  • Review valuations prepared by the investment teams including the valuation report, valuation methodology, financial projections, and valuation assumptions.
  • Build robust financial models to be used by the investment teams.
  • Prepare analysis for the Executive Team and Valuation Committees.
  • Participate in the review and appraisals of valuations for all of the private asset classes.
 
Qualifications:
   
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
  • A professional designation (CA/CPA or CFA) is required
  • CBV designation would be considered a strong asset
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative, team environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Bilingualism – English and French
