Are you an experienced Marketing & Communications professional who is looking for a role where they can be a strong leader and make a difference?  Do you enjoy a generalist role:  being strategic but also getting your hands dirty, leading a team and being innovative?  If so please read on.
Our client is a funds management organisation looking to hire an AVP Marketing & Communications on an interim basis into their growing business.  You will be responsible for heading up all areas of Marketing & Communications and a team of about 20 people across internal communications, creative services, digital, social and external communications.   Based Downtown Toronto, you will develop internal and client facing communications whether it be through traditional, digital or social media channels.  You will need to be strategic while remaining hands-on, build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, manage the marketing budget, be innovative and lead a strong team.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
  • Undergrad degree or diploma in a business-related discipline
  • Experience in a generalist marketing communications role which has involved both traditional and digital methods
  • Experience within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance strongly preferred
  • Strong Leader that can lead, coach and mentor, give feedback and create a great working team environment
  • Possessing the mindset of being both strategic and hands-on, appreciates internal workings and can come in and then evolve with the business
  • Collaboration, being trustworthy, flexible and working within their values is key.
  • Happy to work in a busy, fast paced, everchanging, dynamic and reactive environment.
