VP Investment Management

Are you a passionate, entrepreneurial, experienced Financial Services professional with very strong analytical and financial skills? The VP, Investment Management will work within a collaborative and growing team. The team is responsible for providing the fund with quantitative research and analysis as well as expertise in financial modelling. You will be a key part of the investment and acquisition team by contributing to the investment strategy, due diligence, analyses and integration of new deals. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a fast-growing organization. 
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Screen new lending opportunities and perform due diligence on promising new deals to be underwritten by one of the client’s funds
  • Work collaboratively with business development reps on the preparation of credit submissions
  • Provide input on the structure of new loans/leases and secondary market sell downs
  • Work with in-house and external legal counsel to document new loan/lease transactions
  • Lead the closing of new deals and ensure a smooth hand off with portfolio management
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Services; ideally with exposure to lending/financing, Corporate & Commercial banking, and/or private equity
  • Experience with Underwriting/Risk and Deal execution
  • M&A experience – the ability to identify investment opportunitiees
  • A professional designation would be considered an asset (e.g., CPA or CFA)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University; and/or a Master’s Degree is preferred (or MBA)
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative, team environment 
  • Passion for financial transactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization
