Our client is a Consumer Goods organization who have grown through their inspirational marketing.  Due to this growth, they are looking to hire a Director of Marketing to report into the VP of Marketing.  You will be responsible for leading a team of 4 and defining brand strategies for domestic and global growth bridging both retail and digital landscapes.  Based in Toronto, you will identify strategic insights into consumer behavior to guide product development that continues to innovate and dominate the industry. You will need to develop business building strategies to grow the business in both new and existing channels, determine and negotiate strategic partnerships to position and differentiate their clients’ brands from their competitors. This is key to success in this role.
 
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
 
  • Undergrad degree, diploma or certificate in Business, Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing or a relevant area of study
  • Experience in a senior marketing role which has involved both traditional and digital methods to drive growth
  • A strong aptitude for numbers, margins and managing budgets is necessary
  • Results orientated individual who can work in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment and is nimble, adaptable, resourceful as well as being a team player
  • Strong leadership skills are necessary
  • Limited travel is required both throughout Canada and the US
  • Experience within CPG or Retail strongly preferred
